Books Unlocked
Pro-bono: The UK’s National Literacy Trust runs a reading initiative in prisons funded by the Booker Prize Foundation. Books Unlocked promotes literacy skills by encouraging prisoners to read more. We produced a creative journal to inspire prisoners and young offenders to start writing. “The best compliment I can give it, is to say it doesn’t look like homework!” said a prison librarian.
